Dundee vs Ross County
Dens Park, KO 3pm
10th December 2016

Referee: Euan Anderson
Linesmen: Alastair Mather, Sean Carr
Fourth Official: Bobby Madden

After missing out on a great chance last weekend to continue our good form of recent and a chance to create a gap between our fellow clubs at the bottom, Dundee get another crack at the whip when Ross County roll up to Dens Park this Saturday.

With a tough December schedule about to descend onto the Dark Blues, a home win for the Dees seems a must.

Our only game this season against the Highlanders came on the opening day of the season with Dundee the victors that day with a 3-1 win up on their patch. Paul McGowan got on the score sheet that day along with a double for Rory Loy whose goals helped him become Dundee’s all-time top goalscorer against the staggies.

Dundee are of course looking for their fourth win in six games while Ross County are hoping to make it five games unbeaten in the League.

County have taken up the role of draw specialists this season from ourselves. So far, they have drawn seven out of their 16 games played so far. On the flip side, the Staggies have only won once on the last THIRTEEN matches. Regardless of this, they remain a single point above us in the league.

As with previous weeks, we could either find ourselves in sixth place or rooted at the bottom of the league come Saturday night.

On the team news front, the only notable absentees will be Mark O’Hara and James McPake but we will more than likely see Kevin Gomis make his return after missing the Kilmarnock defeat because of the birth of his child.

Match Facts

Dundee are looking for their 3rd consecutive win in the League against County. We have only ever done this once before back in season 2010/11.

That run back in 2010/11 is also a record for us against Ross County for the longest unbroken winning run in all matches between the two sides.

We are also looking for our 3rd consecutive home win against all opponents, something Paul Hartley hasn’t managed to do with his Dundee team yet.

Ross County have only managed one win in their last thirteen matches.

Their last three defeats have saw them concede four goals in each of them.

Dundee leapfrogged Ross County and moved into the Premiership’s top six, prevailing in a hugely entertaining Dens Park encounter.

Five goals were scored in the first half, with Greg Stewaruntitled1t and Kane Hemmings striking early for Dundee.

Ross County captain Andrew Davies headed in from a corner before Rory Loy diverted home Hemmings’ shot.
